Blackjack
Over its multi-century long life, the game of Blackjack has gone from an obscure game of chance to a global phenomenon. Not only is it one of the most played games in casinos around the world, both virtual and physical, but it has also been the theme of several best-selling books and Hollywood blockbusters. While the origins of the casino classic are largely unknown, history shows that the first mention of the game of 21 was in a 17th century Spanish book. However, the name “Blackjack” came to be during the 19th century in the United States, where local casinos offered an additional bonus to players who were dealt a hand of 21 using an Ace of Spades and one of the Black Jacks in the deck. Today there are 2 main versions of the game: American and European. Both versions follow the same basic rules of the Blackjack, with each version having slight differences when it comes to the number of decks used by the dealer, the way cards are dealt, and some of the different betting options available to the players.
